Not to generalize, but, in my country, it is a common vision to spot males humouring themselves while a woman sets their table, arranges the dishes, serves them, and even, keeps their used dishes in the sink! Ad commercials also bestow upon wives the responsibility to ensure their husbands have low cholesterol, normal BP etc as if their one and only duty in this world is to take care of their grown-ass other ‘halves’. I’ve seen maids working their assess off to earn a few bucks (another product of Brahminical patriarchy) while their husbands lay drunk in the neighbourhood literally burning away their hard-earned money. It is a common saying that women grow up before men, little considering the fact that it is the society that allows heterosexual men to mature as per their wish, as there will always be a wife that will pamper them just like how their mothers did when they were a toddler. As a 21st century woke person I request you all to look around and identify the man — child around you and screech in his ears, ‘GROW THE F UP’. You can screech the above said to a toxic woman as well, who is using her gender as leverage to get away with adult responsibilities. Simply holding one gender accountable for the well being of the other is clear cut sexism and must be nullified asap.
