It is always tough to transition from the comfort of school life to the newness of College life. It is like breaking out of your cocoon. One is always eager to envision themselves as the cool college kid, but unfortunately our life is not scripted by Karan Johar. Not t scare the school graduates here, but yes, college life is not even close to what movies and soap operas make them seem. But to think about, it is for the best that they don't resemble that drama.

The biggest fear that most school students face, is the fear of not making any friends. Well, it might sound cliche, but once you enter college, you would really understand what the phrase quality over quantity means. Although one must be cognizant of the diversity that college offers, that schools don't For example, I did my schooling in Indore, which is a Tier 2 city. The crowd I encountered here was pretty homogenous as they belonged go the same income group, religion, class, caste, lingual background etc. After moving to Bnaglore for my college, I encountered a crowd that was varied in every which way. Living in a metropolitan culture is an experience in itself. You necessarily need to be best buds with people in order to know them. Just make sure, you utilise this opportunity to widen your perspective.

While we are at friends, do know that things can also get pretty competitive at times. Well, College should be a safe haven that fosters your growth, and not places you in a rat race. In college, the entire concept of skipping meals and sleepless nights has been heavily romanticised. Just know that neglecting your health for work is and will never be cool. College is the best time to set the foundation of how you want to lead your future life. Self care is something that we do not talk enough while talking about goals and dreams. Also, do endure to surround yourself with activities and pepe that are positiveand conducive to your growth. You will make a bounty of mistakes, but trust me the lessons which you will earn will be worth it.
