C -53 FAKE FEMINISM?

The first wave of feminism began in 19th and 20th century, with women demanding equal legal right in its first and second wave, which is now on the fifth wave which combines the forces of politics, economics, culture, media, and sustainability to build the argument for gender equality. In short, what started as an only women’s movement has now become an all-inclusive movement that explores gender and sexuality in a more nuanced manner.

And because the current wave of feminism counters ebery internalised notion relating to gender and sex, people have a hard time digesting it. Well let me first introduce this thought — All words, from human to feminism are constructs.. They do not mean anything in a vacuum, it is our individual interpretations that provide it meaning.

all words, from “feminism” to “human being” are a construct.

A person showing rather zilch signs of humanity may be called “inhuman” but not a “fake human”. Because humanity is a very broad construct. Similarly, if a feminist says something unfamiliar, that means either THEY have not fully comprehended the concept of feminism or it doesn’t fit YOUR belief system. One cannot label an interpretation as fake! By deeming it as fake, you are implying that there exists a measured correct version holier than though. Considering times change, and with which humans change as well, it is unfair to cling to only one correct interpretation of any ideology.

And giving more space to wom*n in the narrative doesn’t discredit your “feminism”. In order to level the playing field, it is essential to give space to those who have occupied the least space in the patriarchial hangup since ages.

No one is a “real feminist” unless every aspect of patriarchy is not deconditioned for all. We can simply learn every day. And grow everyday.
